Northern Samar Green Lane System attracts 14 investments including first Tidal Plant in SEA
The provincial government of Northern Samar attracted 14 major investments through its newly established green lane system, officially known as the Northern Samar One-Stop-Action Center for Strategic Investment. This initiative, implemented in compliance with Executive Order No. 18 aims to streamline business operations and enhance the investment climate by reducing bureaucratic hurdles in obtaining permits and licenses. Notable projects include Energies PH’s tidal energy initiative, which represents Southeast Asia’s first tidal energy facility, alongside investments in renewable energy, aquaculture, and digital infrastructure. Governor Edwin Ongchuan emphasized that this initiative positions Northern Samar as a beacon of investment opportunities, fostering economic growth and improving local infrastructure.
